Just some of the highlights this include the annual Field of Screams at the Minnesota Museum of Mining in Chisholm, Molitor’s Haunted Acres at Molitor’s Trout Heaven Park in Sauk Rapids, Frightmares at Buck Hill at Buck Hill Ski Area in Burnsville, and the 5th Annual South Central Minnesota October Studio Art Tour at artist studios in and around the cities of Faribault, Owatonna and Northfield.

Northern Minnesota

Haunted Ship Tours will be held on the William A. Irvin Ore Carrier in Duluth, each Thursday through Saturday through October 31, including Wednesday, October 28. This WWII ghost ship has been transformed into a war ship featuring a battlefield of angry sailors just killing time, and waiting for you. A Pick-A-Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze will be offered at Lazy Acres Farm, located just southwest of Bemidji, each Saturday and Sunday through October 31, with festive shops in the old dairy barn, the Chicken Coop Cafe, pumpkin-picking, hayrides, barrel train rides, pumpkin chuckin’, a corn maze, playground, and walking trail. At dusk, enjoy the “Haunted” Night Lite Maze. And on Saturday, October 24, Bemidji will be the site of Bethel’s Best Bazaar at Bethel Lutheran Church, and a Scarecrow Festival at the Lakefront Pavilion. Thursday through Sunday, October 22-25, head to the Minnesota Museum of Mining in Chisholm for the annual Field of Screams. This is northern Minnesota’s premier haunted attraction, featuring over 100 ghosts, ghouls and goblins hovering in the darkness. A slightly less scary experience will be offered 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Field of Screams will also be open Thursday through Saturday, October 29-31. The city of Detroit Lakes will be the site of numerous events on Saturday, October 31. Highlights include a Halloween Hoot, the Parade of Costumes, and Trick or Treat at Washington Square , as well as the 4th Annual Lakes Lifestyle Expo For Women at the ClubHouse . Central Minnesota

The Nelson Family Farm in Litchfield will the 20th Annual Pumpkin Festival each Saturday and Sunday through October 25.
